Shine

The JD 9330 tractor got a good wash and wax job today.  While I was out with the bush-hog, Brandon and John made that tractor shine like a new one!

Backed into the storage shed, the 9330 is lookin' good!

Along US 50, just east of Robinson Road, the 7130 + bush hog really improved the appearance of the place.   Some was a little too wet, but I got enough mowed to make it look much better along the Cox field.  I plan to do some more bush hog work near Wheatland, Indiana later this week.

Yeah, it was a little steep, but okay.

Can you see the traffic scurrying along US 50 as I'm mowing weeds?

About the White River:  It started down yesterday from its crest of 21.5 feet at Edwardsport.  This crest was 2 feet above any we’ve had in the last 6 weeks.  So, the damage to our nearby fields was increased by this flood.  We can only determine the full extent of the loss after the waters recede.  Hopefully, that will be next week.   It is our opinion that it is now too late to do any replanting of those acres.

Here is a pic of our Grubb Triangle field adjacent to US 50. Of the 20 acres here, <1 will likely survive to be harvested.

The weather seems a bit cooler today, high 80s instead of high 90s, a noticeable difference!  It is “Fair Week” here in Knox County.  We will take in a couple evenings there to see the 4H-ers in their goat and beef shows.
